
Our Winter session begins February 21, 2026 and finishes April 25, 2026. Fall sessions begin in September and finish in November. Classes will run 10 consecutive Saturdays. Class times are 8 am to 5 pm with an hour for lunch. Some reading is required at home to prepare for Saturdays lessons.
Cost
The cost is $4,000.00 which includes sales tax, registration, books & supplies. Cash & or checks accepted; $1,000 (25%) minimum deposit required. No credit card payments accepted at this time. You will need a long sleeve uniform with pants, rubber soled shoes & safety glasses. (We will discuss all of these details prior to first class). A 3-ring binder and pencils will also be necessary.

Week 1: Introduction to Dental Assisting, Professional & Legal aspects of Dental, Dental Anatomy & Physiology. NOTE: Chapter 3 will not be required.

Week 2: Microbiology & Disease Transmission, Management of Infection Control, Surface Disinfection and Instrument Processing.

Clock Hours: 3 Lecture, 5 Lab
Week 4: Instruments & Handpieces, Dental Examinations, Moisture Control and Pain Management.

Week 5: Principles & Concepts of Radiation and Oral Radiology.
(Chapters 16- 17)

Week 6: Restorative & Esthetic Materials, and Impression Material.

Week 7: Preventative Care, Coronel Polishing, Restorative Dentistry, Prosthodontics and Periodontics.
(Chapters 20- 24)
Clock Hours: 4 Lecture, 4 Lab
Week 8: Endodontics, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Orthodontics, Job Search, Instrument Identification Test and Radiology Exam on Patient.
(Chapters 25- 28)
Clock Hours: 1 Lecture 7 Lab
Week 9: Practical Test #1 on Amalgam or Composite Fillings, Final graded Instrument Identification Test.
Clock Hours: 1 Lecture, 7 Lab
Week 10: Final Written Exam, Practical Test #2 on Amalgam Crown preps or Extractions and Graduation.
